Mothers and daughters have a special bond but to be honest with you, I’m not so sure they should ever try to work together. That’s what my mom and I do and it’s really great at times and really, really terrible at others so sometimes I question whether opening the gallery was a good decision for either of us. It seems like we fight about silly stuff like bank card processing and what angle to hang a painting but we agree on all the macro issues of owning our own business which is I guess why we did this in the first place. There’s something to be said for the unbreakable bond family has and I know that no matter how many fights we get in we’ll always come back together at the end of the day. Mom and I are closer than ever even though we fight more than we ever have and I think if you asked her she would tell you she wouldn’t change anything about our arrangement which is what I would say, too!
