Twitter is a micro-blogging site that I use every time I'm online. It is an excellent way to communicate with fellow bloggers, internet marketers, and even CNN journalists! It is my favorite way of keeping track of my favorite bloggers, breaking stories and much more.

How can one increase their followers on Twitter?
There are a few easy ways you can increase your followers. Before you are followed, you must be a follower ...except if you are an internet superstar of course! :)

There are two important factors to consider when you are seeking people to follow.
1. First of all, the people you follow should share similar interests with you.
2. Try to find people that use Twitter regularly. You want to be able to interact with others. That's the fun part!


How can you find Twitter users with similar interests?
1. The first service you can use is Twubble created by crazybob. Twubble will search your friend graphs and give you suggestions of people to follow. People that appear on your friend's graphs usually share similar interests.

2. Are you a parent looking for other parents to share ideas with on Twitter? Wendy Piersall aka emom from Sparkplugging compiled a list of Twittering Moms and another of Twittering Dads.


3. Are you looking for fellow bloggers on Twitter? Darren Rowse aka problogger created a post with 538 Twitter Users That Blog.

4. Are you a Squidoo LensMaster looking for fellow lensmasters on Twitter? Visit the Squidoo Lens Add Your Profile-Make New Friends created by Big Jim. Follow Squidoo lensmasters and add your Twitter username.

5. Are you looking for internet marketers to communicate with on Twitter? Brain Chappell wrote the following post: 200+ Internet Marketing Gurus on Twitter.
